At my house, we have scripture time every day as a family. We learn and study the gospel of Jesus Christ. We talk about what we are learning and share it with each other. The Holy Ghost teaches us each individually and we are all edified as we share.
I find my kids often see things differently than I do and I learn so much from them.
A couple weeks ago, my nearly 17yr old son shared a key insight.
We were talking about how as we turn to God in scripture and prayer, we can receive Godly power in our lives.
I mentioned how they feel an urgent need for a charger when their electronics are running low and that we need to plug into God/Jesus every day so we have power.
He said:
“Daily Scriptures & prayer are the fees you pay for heavenly service.
16 yr old son
We have God power when the signal is on and we receive protection.”
I need not say more.
God gives us power. It is there and always available to us. We must choose to take action and develop Holy Habits that plug us into that power every day.
I love you. God loves you.
He is excited to talk to you and to pour heavenly power into your life.
