The other day I got an email that stopped me in my tracks…. I’d like to share it with you today. Because I believe it matters so much. It matters to my kids, to your kids and to their kids. It’s time to READ!
Are you are like me? Do you have an abundance of emails that never get seen? I try to skim through and get the ones I need. Occasionally one will jump out at me.
This one did just that.
I love my kids and really enjoy encouraging them to stretch and do great things to help others.
I had forgotten that last year we participated in the READ-ALONG, but they knew it and sent me an update for this year.
The basic idea is…
you spend time reading (aloud is best)… reading alone, reading with a child… just READ! You can get all the details here.
June 20-21st, 2017 is the Read-along. Track your minutes and for every hour read, they donate books to kids whose parents are in recovery.
You are also entered into a drawing to win cool stuff. (not needed, but an extra incentive for the kids)
So, why did I post this?
BECAUSE IT IS AWESOME!
I’ll be at a retreat with some amazing people and we are going to have a big reading party as a service project. And… in doing so, I created a tracking sheet to make it easy. {you are welcome}
