3 Tips for More Energy!

I often have people say to me “how do you do it all” or “I wish I had your energy.” Today I will share with you some of my secrets to feeling awesome and how I keep going when typically a person would be dragging.

1. Power Foods. Find the foods that give you energy that lasts and helps you feel alive. For me, this is FRESH Fruits and Veggies, Nuts and Seeds and amazing combinations that bring energy. I can feel such a difference when I have been eating lots of pastas/packaged food vs when I get fresh. I feel “off”. More tired. Then I make a green smoothie, have a salad or some power balls and a trim shake and it’s as though my cells rejoice “Thank you!”

A while ago I was wondering what pluse would be like (the food Daniel had in the Bible when he declined the King’s meat and wine and ate foods that nourished his body.). I searched around and came up with some recipes to try… then put my spin on it. Lots of people have tried this and ask me for the recipe. It’s about time I share it.

Classic POWER BITES

Chop everything to 1/4″ pieces:
1c Dates
1c Prunes
3/4c Dried Apricots
1/2c Dried Cranberries
-Combine & knead-

Add:
3/4 c Almonds
4 T. Sesame Seeds
-Knead Again-

Add:
3T. Peanut Butter (fresh ground is best- I like to buy at Winco, health food store may also have it)
-Knead again-

Press into 9×9 pan lined with parchment or wax paper
Refrigerate till firm. Cut into pieces. Store in the fridge
*These are awesome to grab in a small container when you will be out all day. They can be out of the fridge and make for healthy snacks that save lots of money from eating out.*

Tropical POWER BITES

1/4c Papaya or Mango
-Combine & knead-

Add:
1/4 c pumpkin kernels
3/4 c Almonds
3 T. Sesame Seeds
-Knead Again-

Add:
2T. Cashew Butter (fresh ground is best- I like to buy at Winco, health food store may also have it)
-Knead again-

2. Quality Sleep: Clear your mind so your brain can rest and rejuvenate. (write it out on a paper). Stretch, drink water, take deep breaths, and do some kind of meditation. Listening to your story/declarations/life vision just before falling asleep is also majorly helps me have deeper more productive sleep.

3. Support your body. My favorites are:

  • morning walk with the sunrise and an awesome audio/uplifting music in my headphones
  • Lifelong Vitality & Mito2Max. (these have literally changed so much for me. I can go longer, feel better, and function with more clarity.)
  • Slim & Sassy- a few drops in my water boosts my metabolism, cuts cravings, and wakes me up… it’s a great pickup.
