Sometimes the things you desire come to you in very unexpected ways… it is in moments like this that I feel God is saying “see how much I love you.” It’s just like how, as a parent, I will occasionally buy things for my kids just because I know it will delight them!
I had one of those today.
This is what happened…
I have a little pouch I keep in my purse for when I go to the bank. I put inside of it everything I need to deposit. Business Checks, and cash from sales or things the kids bought on amazon. I need to keep track of everything in one place to keep me organized.
I like variety and will occasionally change up my system. I realized I had 3 pouched for various reasons and wanted to consolidate them. This morning I finally did it. I got a small pouch my daughter was getting rid of that had two pockets. This was pretty exciting! It meant I could put the things to deposit in one side, and the receipts in the other pocket. I put it all together and was happy with my upgrade, but thought “I’d really like one slightly larger, this is a bit tight!”
Then I let it go and joyfully put the pouch in my purse.
Approx. 5 hours later…
My boys came in with some gifts that my sweet neighbor bought for us on his trip to Korea. He mentioned he was going to look for something for us when he left. (It was a kind thought and I was glad he would think of us.)
There were several thoughtful gifts. One of which was a pouch that was PERFECT!!! It was beautiful and something I would have picked out myself! (His daughter, Livia, helped pick it out — cool that she has my name too.)
I love how good our God is. He knows me and loves me and worked through a gentleman I barely knew to provide something so beautiful that was a simple desire of my heart. This is evidence to me of God’s unfailing love and awareness of me and not just my needs, but the things I want. God delights in blessing us because He loves us.
I am so grateful tonight for such a beautiful gift. I truly have all I need at this moment and everything works out for me! (and it does for you too — if you believe it)
Here is the picture reminder of the goodness of God and the blessings of being a blessing. Thank you to my sweet neighbor for being God’s hands today! Little did you know, that my soul was feeling heavy and sad today. I needed to feel God’s love in this way.

*I love unique things that are beautiful and useful that come from places around the world and have stories behind them. As with life, I am intentional about the things I choose to own. I love how perfectly this fits into my life!
