It’s a great day to Dance

Have you ever noticed that the days leading up to something big seem to have lots of challenges. Well, that has definitely been the case around here.

I have come to learn that when this resistance comes, it DOES NOT MEAN I’M DOING SOMETHING WRONG and I should turn back and make new plans.

Actually, it’s just the opposite. It means that I am on the verge of something awesome. That I need to be there and need to connect with certain people. If I give up or give in, I do not receive the blessings or touch the hearts I’m meant to touch.

One of these days I’ll write about the miracles that got me to California when my ‘transmission went out’…. Oh, the stories… but Oh the miracles that have happened because I didn’t give in to fear and did it anyway.

So… back to the dancing….

I’ve been preparing to speak at the Guerrilla Family Expo on Thursday and yesterday I just felt heavy. The little comments in my head tried to get me to fall into doubt, fear and overwhelm…. I used to listen to them and worry or hyper focus to get it all done perfectly.

Oh, how I have grown. Now, there are days that I go quietly and meditate to get back to my happy place. … and then there are days that I fight back with vigor! Yesterday was one of those. I went in my bathroom and read all my amazing notes and posters that remind me who I truly am… Actually I said them LOUDLY with POWER and recorded it! I began with my poem. It always shifts me quickly. If you haven’t yet, you really should check it out!

Then I went downstairs and turned off anything that resembled work. I hooked my phone up to the tv and air-played my Favorite YouTube playlist. We moved the table out of the way and I danced in the kitchen with the kids. Seriously fun and boosts the energy in our home. When my older kids got back from their activities they said they could hear the music outside 🙂 When my daughter came in, I pulled her in and danced. She asked what was going on. I told her we were “blasting out the bad stuff”! She knows how it works and grinned big as she went to dance with her brother. Oh how grateful I am to have the ability to shift the energy in my home so quickly! (Some of my ideas are published in this book – Check it out!)

My friends, if you are having a hard day… try cranking up your favorite song, dancing with all you’ve got and singing as loud as you can! YOU HAVE THE POWER! You are NEVER Stuck! You can choose to live in JOY!

Today is a new day and I’m feeling awesome! Originally I thought I was going to write about connection…. I suppose I did in a round-a-bout kind of way.
