Are you a DIY person? I am.
I love the feeling of taking pieces of stuff that may seem like garbage, random ingredients or things that are ok…. and turning it into something fabulous!
One of my favorite things to DIY is my healthcare products. I am an essential oil gal…
(seriously, natural is the way to go! I personally have not used Rx or OTC meds since 2011 and for 99% of the healthcare of my kids too! I’d love to chat with you if you are interested in making a shift for you family and would like to make a personalized plan– email Livia @ LearnLiveFly.com)
I’ve had a pile of things I needed to make and it was time to do it. My daughter has been taking my awesome magazine with essential oil recipes and reading them throughly. She wanted to make perfume, so it got me moving!
Honestly, I’m not sure why sometimes I run out and wait so long to make more… it really is SO SIMPLE and only takes a few minutes!
Here are a couple of our creations this week: (recipes below)
Purchase Essential Oils Here (these are my favorites, for many reasons!)

Deodorant. (non-toxic and works wonders! I’ve been using it for years!)
Step 1: put a small pot of water to boil (about 2qt size)
Step 2: In a glass measuring cup (I use 4c measure) add:
6 T. Coconut Oil
2 T. Beeswax
Set the glass measure over the boiling water, turn it to a simmer and stir occasionally until melted.
Step 3: Add:
1/2 cup Cornstarch (non-GMO)
1/2 cup Baking Soda
10-12 drops Vitamin E Oil (or 2 capsules, cut open to remove the oil)
Step 4: Remove from heat and Add:
10 drops Melaleuca Essential Oil
10 drops Lavender Essential Oil
Mix well to combine
Step 5: Pour into empty deodorant containers. (makes 3 containers- 1/2 recipe will make 1 large one)
Step 6: Let cool to Harden.
*You can. use whatever oils you want. I choose Lavender to soothe the skin and Melaleuca for it’s antiviral and antibacterial properties. I have a son who wanted Lemon-Lime, so we mixed some of those in for him*
